There is a new CNN.ORC poll out this morning that shows Obama leading by 7 points. It also shows that 63% of Americans think Obama will win to 33% who think Romney will win. So I guess it all over - may as well throw in the towel.
The poll samples 1,010 Americans. Of these 911 were registered voters, not likely voters. Interviews were conducted via telephone (760 interviews) or cell phone (250).
61% says they would for Obama today while 56% say they wold vote for Romney if the election were held today. 50% approved of the job Obama is doing compared to 47% who disapprove. 56$ have a favorable view of Obama compared to 42% unfavorable. Romney's favorables are even with unfavorables 47% to 48%.
Now what I have not been able to figure out from reading the poll data is what percent of Democrats, Republicans and Independents were in the poll. We know that 3 recent polls have been stacked in favor of Democrats. One problem with this poll is that it uses registered voters.
